We would like to get married in a parish which is neither mine nor my fiancé’s. However, our parish-priest doesn’t want to give us permission to wed in another parish.
Has he got such right? How can we get such a permission?
I must admit, that in my practice I haven’t encountered such a denial. That’s why I suppose it is just a matter of a misunderstanding, which I would propose that you clear up during a peaceful and factual conversation with the parish-priest.

If you belong to different parishes (i.e. you belong to one and your fiancé to another), you could also try to acquire such a permission from the other parish.
