            | When inviting my brother and his wife for the reception in what order should I put their names in the invitation? Should I take the degree of consanguinity or the „woman first” rule into account? Is there any general rule for everyone, are there any exceptions? |

            | When inviting pairs to family celebrations, like a wedding reception, we first put the woman’s data and then the man’s. This rule should be followed regardless of the degree of consanguinity to the invited persons. The only exception I would make would be for multi-generation invitations: e.g. inviting a father and his juvenile daughter. |
