My question regards children on the reception. Should 2-3-year-olds have separate places at the tables? Or will they have dinner with their parents and afterwards, as usual for children, will be running and brawling around the reception room?
2-3-year-old kids are usually able to sit and use cutlery by themselves. Therefore I would ensure their own places at the tables to them – next to their parents. Good hotels and restaturants dispose of special chairs for children, which make their sitting more comfortable than in “grown up” chairs. You can also ask for a special menu for the children, e.g. broth and delicate chicken fillet with French fries (children love them!) or something sweet for the second course (e.g. pancakes with fruit). The menu for kids is very often (depending on the restaurant’s standards) cheaper than for an adult guest. It is good to determine that when signing the contract with the reception place.

As for “running and brawling around the reception room”, I always propose to my clients that they hire a professional baby sitter who will keep the children busy, watch for their safety and put them to beds when the time is right.
